Rochester, New York

The City of Rochester is located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in Western New York, and is home to over 200,000 residents. It's the third largest metropolitan area in NY State, and the 79th largest city in the US. It has a long history of technology and manufacturing, being home to iconic companies such as Kodak, Xerox, and Bosch and Lomb. It's been nicknamed the "Flower City" after the numerous nurseries that surround the city, dating back to the 1800s, and hosts the annual Lilac Festival.

Rochester is home to several world-class universities, including the University of Rochester, the Eastman School of Music, and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Rochester boasts a wealth of arts, music and culture, and features attractions such as the Strong Museum of Play for children and families, and the George Eastman Museum, a museum dedicated to the history of photography and film.
