Chautauqua Institution

Since 1874, the Chautauqua Institution has operated as a non-profit education center and summer resort for youth and adults, near Jamestown, New York. Each summer season, the institution is host to lectures, concerts, art, dance, and more. It features lodging at the newly restored Athenaeum Hotel (pictured above), a golf course, multiple performance venues, faith and religious programs, outdoor recreation, and includes several on-site dining and shopping destinations, some of which remain open year-round.
